About Zuid-Kennemerland National Park
National Park Zuid-Kennemerland is a Dutch countrywide park located within the province of North Holland and set up in 1995. Dutch conservationist Jac. P. Thijsse first wrote about a possible countrywide park among Bloemendaal and the North Sea Canal in 1944. As a end result, the national park De Kennemerduinen become established in 1950. The Zuid-Kennemerland National Park turned into mounted in 1995. It comprised De Kennemerduinen, several nature reserves controlled via Vereniging Natuurmonumenten and some other regions.
The park is located west of Haarlem inside the province of North Holland inside the west of the Netherlands. It is placed in the municipalities of Bloemendaal, Velsen, and Zandvoort. It includes the southern portion of the area called Kennemerland. South Kennemerland is characterized by means of sand dunes. The park, about 38 square kilometres 15 squaremi in length, also includes some estates, forests at the dune fringes, and coastal beaches.
