About Zandvoort
Circuit Zandvoort is a motorsport race track located in the dunes north of Zandvoort, Netherlands, near the North Sea coast line. There have been plans for races at Zandvoort earlier than World War II: the primary street race became hung on 3 June 1939. However, a permanent race song was now not built until after the war, using communications roads built by way of the occupying German army. Contrary to popular belief John Hugenholtz can not be credited with the design of the Zandvoort music,
although he become worried because the chairman of the Nederlandse Automobiel Ren Club Dutch Auto Racing Club before becoming the first music director in 1949. Instead, it become 1927 Le Mans winner, S. C. H. "Sammy" Davis who changed into delivered in as a tune layout consultant in July 1946 although the format turned into partially dictated by using the existing roads. The first race on the circuit, the Prijs van Zandvoort, came about on 7 August 1948.
