Wolderwijd
About Wolderwijd
The Wolderwijd is a bordering lake located in the Netherlands, created in 1967 with the aid of the gaining of land in Southern Flevoland. It is one in every of four Veluwe bordering lakes. On the northern and western bank it's miles encompassed with the aid of the municipality of Zeewolde, inside the Province of Flevoland, and on the southern and eastern financial institution it is encompassed through the municipality of Harderwijk within the Province of Gelderland.
As the bordering lakes of Flevoland are strictly speakme one mass of water there aren't any exact markers on in which the Wolderwijd ends and the adjacent lakes start. In the west close to Strand Horst the Wolderwijd becomes the Nuldernauw and in the east at the aqueduct at the provincial street N302 it will become the Veluwemeer. The lake became created as a buffer among the old land of the Veluwe and the newly created Flevopolder, to ensure that the water level of the Veluwe could now not drop. The lake gets water from the neighboring Veluwemeer and several streams and sluices. An additional supply is low-phosphate water from the Flevopolder to counter eutrophication.
