About Vondelpark
The Vondelpark is an elongated metropolis park in Amsterdam, relationship from 1865. The park is positioned in the Amsterdam-Zuid district, on the border with the Amsterdam-West district. It extends from the Stadhouderskade to the Amstelveenseweg. At the outlet in 1865 the park become known as the Nieuwe Park, popularly called Wandelpark.
After the disclosing of the Vondel Monument in October 1867, a statue in honor of the poet and playwright Joost van den Vondel, the call become changed to Vondelpark. The park has been a national monument on the grounds that 1996. A group of personal people round Christiaan Pieter van Eeghen, united within the Willemspark construction corporation, bought an elongated strip of peat meadow place in 1864. The park have become the personal property of the Association for the introduction of a using and walking park, which turned into set up on 8 April 1864 and accepted by means of Royal Decree of 14 April 1864. The listing of members at the foundation protected 34 people, which includes mayor J. Messchert van Vollenhoven.
