About Soesterberg
Soesterberg is a town of 6311 inhabitants placed within the northeast of the province of Utrecht among Amersfoort, Zeist and Soest, among the Amersfoort-Utrecht provincial avenue and the A28 highway. It falls below the municipality of Soest in the Dutch province of Utrecht. The village arose around the intersection of the Amersfoortseweg between Utrecht and Amersfoort and the old Postweg from Amsterdam to Arnhem. The village became known as Den Bergh. That modified in 1837, when it become renamed Soesterberg through Royal Decree. In the same year the village received its first clergyman, pastor L.
