Sittard

Sittard is a city in the Netherlands, located inside the southernmost province of Limburg. The city is a part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen and has nearly 37.500 population in 2016. In its east, Sittard borders the German municipality of Selfkant. The metropolis centre is placed at forty five m above sea level. Archaeological discoveries have dated the first agreement within the Sittard vicinity around 5000 B.C. Present day Sittard is thought to have been founded round 850 A.D.
