Prince William V Gallery
About Prince William V Gallery
The Prison Gate Museum and Prince William V Gallery will open their ways to general society from 2 September 2010. These two notable structures on the Hofvijver have quite recently finished broad redesign and restoration.
The new complex will offer guests the chance to investigate a centuries-old complex that recounts the account of legitimate and imperial power in the Netherlands from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century.
At the Prison Gate Museum, the building and accumulation indicate how Dutch detainees were imprisoned, attempted and rebuffed; at the Prince William V Gallery, guests will experience an eighteenth-century regal gathering.
The Prison Gate Museum was initially a medieval gatehouse in the focal point of The Hague. It was once one of three passage entryways to the palace of the Counts of Holland, on the site of the present Binnenhof.
