About Klaarkamp Abbey
Klaarkamp Abbey become a Cistercian monastery in the network of Dongeradeel, approximately four kilometres southwest of Dokkum and a pair of kilometres north of Rinsumageast in the Dutch province of Friesland. The abbey became based in both 1163 or 1165, either immediately from Clairvaux Abbey in France, that's the greater usually customary account, or from Riddagshausen Abbey near Braunschweig, in which case Klaarkamp became of the filiation of Morimond.
