About Keukenhof
The Keukenhof is a flower park northwest of Lisse in South Holland. Since 2014, it has attracted extra than one million traffic from around the world each year. Every year inside the spring past due March to late May bulb plant life from organizations in the region are displayed at the 32 hectare park. Keukenhof is placed on part of the estate of Keukenhof Castle. The Keukenhof Estate originated in 1642 whilst an angular homestead 'Keukenhof' become built within the kitchen garden of Teylingen Castle.
The kitchen dune takes its call from the reality that the proceeds from the dune area together with game, livestock and all forms of herbs and berries have been meant for the household or kitchen of the Teylingen castle. Later residents have rebuilt the Keukenhof farmstead into the present day Keukenhof fortress adorned with towers. The park turned into redesigned in 1857 by means of panorama architects Zocher and Son, who later additionally designed the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. In 1949 the northern part of the property changed into installation as a flower exhibition on the initiative of the then mayor of Lisse, W.J.H. Lambooy and a dozen leading flower bulb growers, led by landscape architect W.
