Gooimeer
About Gooimeer
The Gooimeer is a 2670 ha big lake that changed into created for the duration of the reclamation of southern Flevoland. The southern shore is fashioned by using the antique coast of the Gooi close to Naarden and Huizen, on the former Zuiderzee. The lake has Almere on the north side and Naarden, Huizen and Blaricum on the south facet.
The water is bordered on one facet by means of the Stichtse Brug, in which the A27 crosses and on the alternative by way of the Hollandse Brug, wherein the A6 crosses. In the front of the Huizer beach, contrary the Fourth Quadrant at the Stichtse Brug, is island De Huizerhoef. The uninhabited and horseshoe-formed island has jetties and offers the possibility to spend the night. De Schelp is located close to the Naarderbos. Water sports enthusiasts locate refuge inside the ports of Almere Haven, Huizen and Naarden. At Almere-Haven, on the Hollandse Brug, the silver beach, the Stichtse Brug and in Huizen, the Gooimeer has a seashore characteristic. This is partly because of the reality that because of its records as a Zuiderzee beach, these seashores are very shallow and consequently perfect for holidaymakers.
