About Frans Hals Museum
The Frans Hals Museum is a museum in Haarlem founded in 1862 that is referred to as the Museum of the Golden Age. The series is based totally on the wealthy collection of the town itself that has been built up because the 16th century. The museum owns masses of paintings, inclusive of more than a dozen art work via Frans Hals, from which the museum owes its call.
The series of the Golden Age is located inside the Hof region, inside the former Oudemannenhuis, while the current collection may be observed inside the 'Hal' location at the Grote Markt. The start of the collection of the city of Haarlem turned into shaped in 1581, just after the Reformation, while Haarlem acquired from the States of Holland all the products from the Catholic monasteries and different Catholic establishments in Haarlem. In 1590, Cornelis Cornelisz van Haarlem painted 4 big paintings for the Prinsenhof, a part of the city corridor, on behalf of the metropolis council. Three of the 4 are now within the Frans Hals Museum.
