Eemnes

Eemnes is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. Eemnes formerly consisted of villages, Eemnes-Binnen and Eemnes-Buiten. These names cited the vicinity of the villages with admire to the dyke of the river Eem. Eemnes-Buiten obtained town rights in 1345; Eemnes-Binnen changed into granted city rights in 1439.
