Beverwijk

Beverwijk and municipality in Midden Kennemerland in the Dutch province of Noord Holland. The municipality has 41,168 inhabitants and has a place of ​​19.60 km². The municipality is part of the IJmond cooperation location. The municipality includes the metropolis of Beverwijk and the village of Wijk aan Zee and the previous horticultural village of Wijk aan Duin. The location is now quality recognised for De Bazaar, the most important covered marketplace in Europe.

A burns center is likewise located in Beverwijk, within the Red Cross Hospital. Beverwijk had the primary furniture street within the Netherlands. The international car market is also positioned in Beverwijk. Beverwijk received marketplace rights in 1276, granted via Count Floris V of Holland, and town rights in 1298, granted through Count Jan I of Holland. This ultimate event came about on November 1, 1298, in which the trading agreement on the lake and the church village of Sint Aagtenkerk have been brought together within one border and ultimately fashioned the town of Beverwijk. The region of ​​the town became consequently separated from the Craft District.
