Bernheze is a municipality in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant, in part positioned in the Meierij of 's Hertogenbosch and in part within the Peelrand. Created in 1994 after merging the municipalities of Heesch, Nistelrode and Heeswijk Dinther inside the context of municipal reorganization. The municipality changed into initially given the name of the largest center, Heesch. In 1995 the municipality become renamed Bernheze. The municipality has 30,802 inhabitants.
The municipality is known as after a farm referred to as Bernhese, which became donated to the Abbey of Berne in 1196.
