Aviodrome
About Aviodrome
The Nationaal Luchtvaart-Themapark Aviodrome is a large aerospace museum in the Netherlands that has been located on Lelystad Airport since 2003. Beforehand the gallery was situated at Schiphol Airport. In 1955 a few associations, for example, the carrier KLM and flying machine maker Fokker, started an establishment called "Stichting voor het Nationaal Luchtvaartmuseum" with the single objective of making a national aeronautics historical center. The main portion of this flight historical center opened its entryways in 1960 on Schiphol air terminal under the name Aeroplanorama and had just seven flying machine in plain view. It shut its entryways in 1967 and another exhibition hall called Aviodome was opened in 1971 on Schiphol.
The primary building was an expansive aluminum geodesic arch composed by Buckminster Fuller, the biggest on the planet at the time, which housed the majority of the air ship in plain view. Subsequently the 'vault' in the name Aviodome. After some time, the area turned out to be too little for the developing flying machine gathering and in 2003 the gallery was moved to another area on Lelystad Airport. The working at Schiphol was decimated and the name was changed to Aviodrome. On the present area, it has three structures: the primary building where the vast majority of the air ship in plain view are found and where there's an eatery and a film, an imitation of the old Schiphol terminal working from 1928 and an overhang for airplane stockpiling with constrained access for guests.
