About Damak
Damak is one of the oldest municipalities in Jhapa District within the Mechi Zone of south-jap Terai of Nepal. It is situated among the Ratuwa River in the east and the Maawa River inside the west. It has Sivalik Hills in its north and ends with the intersection of Ratuwa River and Mawa River in the south. Mahendra Highway longest toll road of Nepal crosses this municipality nearly bisecting it. According to Census 2011, it's far the second one largest metropolis in Jhapa District with population of a 105,743.
Damak Branch serves as the middle for Telecommunication and Cellular with big Skyline Towers. Whereas Axiatas's Ncell is also popular inside the town having 82 small and One massive tower hooked up for the fastest connectivity. There are three cell carriers in Damak, Ncell, NTC and UTL. Here, Ncell is imparting 4G carrier and NTC is imparting 3G net service in the area. Damak has 5 FM stations named Radio Himshikhar 103.3Mhz, Star FM92Mhz, Radio Jhapa 100.7Mhz, Saptarangi FM 101.6mHZ and Pathibhara FM93.6MHZ.
But country wide radio station Radio Nepal and different surrounding FM stations Kanchanjungha FM, Saptakoshi FM, Koshi FM, Kantipur FM can honestly be heard in the city. Damak is likewise broadcasting the tv channel named Himshikhar Television from a couple of years and going for walks efficiently in the place. A new TV channel named Jagriti CT channel is also presently broadcasting in Damak. There was TV DTH vendors named National cable and any other Kankai cable which later merged with National cable and commenced its services with the name Jagriti National Cable in Damak.
