About Rakhine
Rakhine State is a nation in Myanmar Situated on the western coast, it's miles bordered by Chin State to the north, Magway Region, Bago Region and Ayeyarwady Region to the east, the Bay of Bengal to the west, and the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh to the northwest. It is positioned about between latitudes 17°30' north and 21°30' north and longitudes 92°10' east and ninety four°50' east. The Arakan Mountains, growing to three,063 metres at Victoria Peak, separate Rakhine State from principal Burma. Off the coast of Rakhine State there are some pretty massive islands along with Cheduba and Myingun Island. Rakhine State has an area of 36,762 square kilometres and its capital is Sittwe.
The term Rakhine is assumed to were derived from the Pali word Rakkhapura, which means "Land of Ogres", possibly a pejorative regarding the authentic Negrito Australoid population. The Pali word "Rakkhapura" approach "land of the humans of Rakhasa". They were given this call in honour in their maintenance of their countrywide heritage and ethics or morality. The word Rakhine manner, "one who continues his own race". In the Rakhine language, the land is referred to as Rakhinepray, the ethnic Rakhine are known as Rakhinetha.
