Dawei is a metropolis in south-japanese Myanmar and is the capital of the Tanintharyi Region, formerly called the Tenasserim Division, approximately 614.Three km south of Yangon at the northern financial institution of the Dawei River. Population, 139,900. It is at 14.09°N ninety eight.20°E. Dawei is a port at the top of the Dawei River estuary, 30 km. From the Andaman Sea. From 1614 to the 1740s, Dawei was the southernmost town below Burmese authority, and became defended by way of a Burmese garrison.
