About Almoravid Koubba
The Almoravid Koubba is a little landmark in Marrakech, Morocco. Dating to the twelfth century, it was raised by the Almoravid administration. The Almoravid Koubba is arranged by the Marrakech Museum, and around 40 meters south of the mosque of Ben Youssef. It is the main surviving case of Almoravid design in Marrakech. The structure was worked in 1117 and was later redesigned in the sixteenth and nineteenth century.
It was rediscovered in 1948 and uncovered in 1952, subsequent to having been covered underneath one of the storehouses of the Ben Youssef Mosque. The vault was once utilized for ablutions before the petition, and furthermore had an arrangement of toilets, showers, and spigots for drinking water. It had a place with an Almoravid mosque, now long gone. The arch is over a rectangular bassin.
