About Winsome Oceanographic Museum
Locally famous as Musee Oceangraphique, the Oceangraphic Museum in Monte Carlo contains huge collection of marine plants and other creatures comprising shark skeletons and large whale. It is housed in two floors of the exhibition areas i.e. first and second floors of the building and many of the displays have been donated by its initiator who was commonly known as the Father of Modern Monaco namely Prince Albert I. If you visit the first floor of the museum, you will be wordless to see the models of several ships used by Prince Albert I, as well as other crafts and vessels. The awe-inspiring view of the city and the harbor can be enjoyed at the terrace cafe situated on the roof. Entrance to the museum is chargeable and it is open seven days a week for the visitors between 9.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. The opening hours of the museums are shorter throughout the winters. So, please come with your children and uncover its best-kept secrets in front of them.
