About Tultitlan

Tultitlan is the seat of the region of Tultitlan situated in the northeastern piece of the State of Mexico in Mexico. It lies adjoining the northern tip of the Federal District Distrito Federal and is a piece of the Greater Mexico City urban region. Both the city and the district are conversely known as San Antonio Tultitlan or just Tultitlan, a name which originates from Nahuatl signifying "among the tule plants". "de Mariano Escobedo" was added to the city's name in 1902 out of appreciation for the general who battled in the Mexican–American War and for the nonconformists amid the time of La Reforma with Benito Juarez.

The bones of mammoths and different creatures have been found in the territory, exhumed beginning in 1991. It is a significant site since it sets up the nearness of man here to around 15000–13000 BC, making it one of the most seasoned human settlements in the Americas. Clay pieces here date to around 400 BC. Teotihuacan nearness is archived around 200 to 750 AD, for the most part rural towns that likewise delivered things like crates and rope. Somewhere in the range of 850 and 1110, the territory was occupied by people groups speaking Nahuatl and Otomis, while the zone was under Toltec mastery from the city of Tula situated in the present-day province of Hidalgo.

The present city was established by the Tepanecas in 1356, however its first tlatoani boss, named Cuauhtzinteuctli, did not start his standard until 1408. The city's last tlatoani kicked the bucket in 1519 of measles brought over by the Spanish. After the Spanish Conquest, the region was redesigned into enormous haciendas with the city of Tultitlan under the ward of Tacuba. The town turned into an area in 1605. In 1645, a picture of San Antonio de Padua arrived and turned into the town's supporter holy person. The little town remained so until 1969 when it was named a town, achieving city status in 1997. As of the 2010 registration, the city's population was 31,936.
