About Tehuixtla
Tehuixtla is a a place in the district of Jojutla, Morelos, Mexico The right name of this town is San Pedro Tehuixtla. The toponymy of Tehuixtla originates from the Nahuatl word ‘Tetl’ = stone, ‘Huix’ = spine or plume and ‘tlan’ = place. For what a possible significance to the Spanish is: "In the hard thistles like stone" or "Spot of the sharp rocks". The historical backdrop of the town is next to no known. Its birthplace returns to the antiquated clans of Tlahuicaand xochimilcas that settled in Morelense domain. Established in the period before the victory of Mexico.
Some oral sources demonstrate that the town was initially on the other bank of the Amacuzac River, because of the plague of annoyance, the enduring pioneers crossed the riverbank, expressing gratitude toward the Virgin of the Rosary. The ward of San Pedro Apostol dates from the mid 17th century, however the landmark they realize today was worked because of the developing needs of the population in the 18th century and from that date to the present has experienced a few remodels being the most significant and dangerous those of 1950 and 1992.
Another exceptional truth is that Tehuixtla conceded land to a state of "French"Ixtla Bridge. As of now in Tehuixtla the principle wellsprings of work are horticulture, domesticated animals and exchange, despite the fact that the settlements that the Tehuixtlecos built up in the United States send to their families are significant.
