Santa Rosalia
About Santa Rosalia
Santa Rosalia is a town situated in the Mulege Municipality of northern Baja California Sur, Mexico. It is on the Gulf of California shoreline of the Baja California Peninsula. Starting at 2015, the town had a population of 14,160 inhabitants. It was at one time an organization town. The town was named after Saint Rosalia, in spite of the fact that the purpose behind the name isn't exactly clear since the Mision de Santa Rosalia isn't situated by the town, yet rather in Mulege, around 100 km south, and the nearby area is committed to Santa Barbara.
Santa Rosalia flaunts French impact, especially in its engineering. The French organization El Boleo established the town in 1884 and misused copper mines there until they shut in 1954. They fabricated houses and introduced the metallic Iglesia de Santa Barbara, which is contended to have been structured by Gustave Eiffel. Not at all like numerous other mining destinations, the modern offices which are situated in the extremely center of the town, were never destroyed. Specifically noteworthy are the reverberatory heater and the metallurgical converter, despite the fact that they are presently not available by people in general because of wellbeing concerns. Old trains, mining gear and hardware are unmistakable all over the place. The primary mining organization workplaces have been changed over into a mechanical historical center.
