Nicolas Ruiz

Nicolas Ruiz is a district in Chiapas, situated in the focal point of the Mexican state. Its civil head is the town of a similar name. It is a piece of the authoritative district I centro. It gets its name to pay tribute to the lawmaker Nicolas Ruiz Maldonado. It outskirts toward the north with the region of Totolapa, toward the south, east and west with Venustiano Carranza. Nicolas Ruiz was founded by Tzeltales de Villa de Teopisca today Teopisca, a little city 35 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Ciudad Real of the area of Chiapa, a pilgrim reliance of Santiago de Guatemala.

The first reports that ensure the responsibility for land and those of procurement, called "Titulos Primordiales", still exist, setting up that the terrains of the haciendas of San Diego and San Lazaro were acquired by the "locals" of Teopisca in 1734 to the Coutino family, shaped via landowners and farmers of the area. The absolute entirety of the buy was 1,680 pesos. This land was huge, the first compositions state that it went from Acala in the west to San Bartolome in the east and south to Teopisca and Amatenango in the north. 25 families from Villa de Teopisca involved the land and shaped a provincial network called Hacienda San Diego, or just San Diego.
