About Minatitlan
Minatitlan is a city in southeastern Mexican territory of Veracruz in the Olmec locale of the state and the north of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. In 2010 the more prominent metropolitan zone had a population of 356,020. The district covers a territory of 4,123.91 square kilometers and incorporates numerous little remote networks. A significant part of the city sits on recovered wetlands, and numerous new homes based on this recovered land tend to sink up to a few meters before settling. A great part of the encompassing undeveloped land is mucky, particularly towards the upper east course of Coatzacoalcos.
Minatitlan is home to the Refineria Gral. Lazaro Cardenas del Río presently named for President Lazaro Cardenas a 1906 petroleum processing plant that was the primary such office worked in Latin America. The processing plant experienced a development that began in 2003 to bring the limit of the plant up to 240,000 barrels for each day, up from its past limit of 185,000 barrels for every day. It is a sister city of Minatitlan, Colima in the province of Colima, on the opposite side of the nation. The nearby economy is to a great extent reliant on the oil business and exchange. The Feria del Cafe y Mineria Coffee and Mining Fair is held every year in January.
