About Ixtlahuacan del Rio
Ixtlahuacan del Rio is a town and region in the center point of the Mexican territory of Jalisco, somewhat less than 50 kilometers from state capital Guadalajara. It remains at 1,655 meters above ocean level; the atmosphere is semi-dry, with a gentle winter. It was established by the Toltecs toward the start of the 7th century when they went through the locale. Possibly, it was first in Tlacotan where Totonac clans, Tepehuanes and Coanes were set up, being the originators the Tepehuanes, who emerged for their contentiousness.
In 1825 it had a town lobby and from that date until 1910 it had a place with the first canton of Guadalajara; in 1838 it had the status of a town and in 1878 it was at that point referenced as a region. It had the police headquarters of Tepac, Tlacotan and the Congregation of San Antonio. In the time of 1894, on February 28, the Tepac police headquarters was annulled and the Congregation of San Antonio was set up as a police headquarters; and in March 1912, the Tlacotan police headquarters moved to Trejos, and in 1922 the character of the police headquarters was re-established.
