El Rosario
About El Rosario
El Rosario is a populace of the Mexican kingdom of Oaxaca, conurbated with the city of Oaxaca de Juarez, capital of the kingdom. It is part of the municipality of San Sebastian Tuttle that is the most important populace concentration. The origins of the population that nowadays is El Rosario are inside the former Hacienda del Rosario, positioned in which today is the population and from which it gets its call.
The lands of this hacienda were dispensed because of the Mexican Revolution and have become a small populace nucleus. This population whose initial increase turned into minimum become a part of the municipality of Santa Lucia Del Camino between June 12, 1940 and June 30, 1941. In 1980 the then Governor of Oaxaca, Heladio Ramirez Lopez, projected that during these lands, conurbated with the city of Oaxaca and other essential towns along with Santa Lucia del Camino and Santa Cruz Amilpas - but that belonged to the municipality of San Sebastian Tutla- a housing unit designed by the then Housing Institute of Oaxaca became constructed.
