Charapan

Charapan location of pink earth is placed to the west of the state, limits to the north with Tangancicuaro and Chilchota, to the east with Paracho, to the south with Uruapan and Los Reyes and to the west with Los Reyes. Its distance to the capital of the country is 208 km. The remedy is shaped by using the neovolcanic axis and valleys among mountains and the Uruapan mountain variety with Cerros Alberca and Cerro Patamban. In the territorial law of December thirteen, 1855, it seems as possession of the municipality of Paracho.

On November 20, 1861, its miles granted the rank of municipality, belonging to the district of Paracho, next to Nahuatzen and Charan el Grande. In this time, it was known as Charapa. In 1862, when the state was divided into departments, Charapan does now not appear as a municipality, which shows that the class of tenure became assigned to it. In 1901, the congress issued a decree on the subject of the territory and the administration of the kingdom, wherein Charapan appears once more as a municipality, thinking about that during that year the rate become restored.
