About Chapultepec Zoo

Chapultepec Zoo is a zoo situated in Chapultepec Park; it is one of four zoos close Mexico City, and the best known Mexican zoo. It was established July 6, 1923 by Mexican researcher Alfonso Luis Herrera utilizing gifts from private natives and legislative assets from the Ministry of Agriculture and Development, and furthermore with assets from the Society of Biological Studies.
