About Canatlan
Canatlan is one of the 39 districts of Durango, in northwestern Mexico. The city situate lies at Ciudad Canatlan. The region covers a region of 4686.1 km². Starting at 2015, the region had an absolute population of 32,852. Starting at 2010, the city of Canatlan had a population of 11,495. Other than the city of Canatlan, the district had 327 regions. On January 29, 1620, the principal Jesuit clerics touched base in the town of Durango, after the insurgence Tepehuana, constructed new missions in spots where they have recently been built up. Franciscan ministers assembled a little plain close La Sauceda, a mission which they named San Diego de Canatlan.
Furthermore, set in 1620 as the establishment of this mission, since that is the point at which the priests went to the area and the Tepehuana was call San Diego, on the grounds that on November 13 he established the sacred name relating to the mission which is Canatlan, a Mexican word signifying "home of land beside water or settling ground and water".
