Cacaotepec

Cacaotepec is one of the 570 municipalities that make up the state of Oaxaca. History says that across the year 600 or 800 BC, arrived in the massive Central Valley of what's now known as Oaxaca City, moreover called La Nueva Antequera and Marquesado de Don Hernan Cortes, a fixed of overseas men to placed a city. Historians have not agreed at the direct family trunk of the founders; whilst some verify that they descended from the Toltecs in the times of Quetzalcoaltl, others recommend as native of the Olmec Region of Tabasco.

This organization founded the Kingdom of Zapotecan, which modified into named for the leafy and generous wood zapotlt or zapote, which lavished juicy and delicious end result with very numerous residences. The territorial extension of the Kingdom has become notable, from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec by means of the Southeast, to the northern barriers of white and steep lands of the Kingdom of the Mixtecs. In one of this manner that San Lorenzo belonged to the wonderful territory of this historical civilization. Very near to what's now the town stands the majestic castle and ceremonial middle that the Spaniards named Monte Alban.
