About Cacahoatan
Cacahoatan is a municipality within the state of Chiapas, in Mexico. By the year 2005 it has a populace of 39,033 populations, occupying an area of 173.9 km². It borders with the Municipalities of Tuxtla Chico, Tapachula and Union Juarez and with the Republic of Guatemala. The metropolis of Cacahoatan was based through the Toltecs, it’s that means is Lugar del cacao. His previous or primitive seat was on the alternative facet of the Cahuacan River.
Prehispanic ruins are observed inside the head; there are also admirable ruins in Mixcum: pyramids and foundations of Toltec origin in the course of the municipality. Due to its Toltec descent, it's also the historic foundation of the Culebro surname, coming from the snakes, Toltec symbol. Keep the custom of celebrating the market each 8 days. When Chiapas became unbiased, it turned into a small village that later grew. At the stop of the 19th century, Manchinelli, of Italian foundation, delivered the primary espresso flowers.
