About Baca
Baca Municipality is one of the 106 regions in the Mexican territory of Yucatan containing 118.78 km2 of land and found about 32 km east of the city of Merida. The civil president is chosen for a three-year term. The town board has seven representatives who fill in as councilors for biology, parks and open plant enclosures; open wellbeing; open works; general wellbeing; burial grounds; sanitation; and terminology.
In 1441 after the fall of Mayapan, the region fell inside the areas of Ceh Pech and after the triumph turned out to be a piece of the encomienda framework. Amid the victory, the batab boss, Ah-Op-Pech, was sanctified through water and took the name Ambrosio Pech, all the while being named as representative. He was prevailing by his child Pedro Pech in 1567. In 1704, the encomendero was Pedro Cepeda y Lira II, who was in charge of 1548 local inhabitants. On 15 October 1881, the town moved toward becoming Villa Baca. In 1900, the station of Tixkunheil was sorted as a town. In 1912, San Antonio Tzutza and its addition "Yaxnic" are united with Baca region. In 1921, the Villa was broken down and the land was come back to the ejido.
