About Teluk Intan
Teluk Intan is a town in Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. It is the area capital and biggest town in Hilir Perak locale and third biggest town in the province of Perak with an expected populace of around 120,000, about portion of Hilir Perak region's aggregate populace 232,900. Amid the British protectorate period, the named was changed to Teluk Anson Bay, to pay tribute to a British Officer and last Lieutenant-Governor of Penang, Major-General Sir Archibald Edward Harbord Anson who drew the arrangement of the cutting edge township in 1882. In 1982 amid the centennial of the town's foundation, the name was changed again to Teluk Intan Diamond Bay by the Sultan of Perak.
