The settlement was populated by villagers of Minangkabau sources who had before settled in Sayong Kuala Kangsar Perak. The pilgrims were from the group of Malik and the child Tuyub, which family tomb is as yet noticeable from the roadside arranged in the domain before the Rimba Panjang new town. One the relatives was the late Imam Jusuh, one of the main imams of the Alghufraniah Sungai Siput Mosque and the town councilor.
