Sarawak Museum

The Sarawak State Museum Malay: Muzium Negeri Sarawak is the most established gallery in Borneo. It was established in 1888 and opened in 1891 out of a reason assembled working in Kuching, Sarawak. Naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace supported Charles Brooke, the second White Rajah of Sarawak, to set up the exhibition hall.

Beginning 23 October 2017, the gallery is briefly shut until 2020 for a RM308-million renovation works. When its revived, the historical center ready to wind up among the finest exhibition halls in ASEAN.
