Langkawi Cable car

A major attraction of the beautiful island, Langkawi Cable Car, also called SkyCab provides an aerial connect from the Oriental village at Teluk Burau to the peak of Gunung Machinchang which is the second highest peak in Langkawi.

The cable car picks the visitors from the Oriental village in the upper northwest of the Island, near Pantai Kok and travels all the way to the peak. The mesmerising views are the highlight of this little fun trip. The entrance that is the Oriental village has the pleasant garden along with souvenir shops and one can spend some time here.

One can feel the chills as the cable car ascends. The first station comes after covering around 600 metres where one can take up another cable car or stop to look at the breathtaking surroundings. With further ascent, one can enjoy higher views of the rainforest and hills. It gets cooler and cooler. At the final station, the visitors can get down and enjoy the stalls selling souvenirs and toys and then climb upstairs to reach the observatory deck from where one can enjoy the splendid views of the horizon, the entire island's landscape, the skyline and seas. After having enjoyed the mountain peak and the fantastic views, one can take the descending route.
