Kanching Falls

The Kanching Falls are set between Kuala Lumpur and Rawang in Selangor, Malaysia. It is a famous tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur. The waterfalls are comprised of seven tiers. There is a well-maintained recreation park in the area located by the fall that offers the trail to access the lower falls. If one would like to reach the upper falls, uphill scrambling will be required. This recreational forest covers an area of 500 hectares. This forest park is very much close to the city what makes it a very popular destination for camping, swimming, picnics, and jungle walking especially at weekends. Capturing the snap of fast moving water is a favorite work for the photographers. Kanching Rainforest Waterfall is quite known destination for housing the unique ambiance, lush green forest, and stunning waterfalls. The vicinity is not so crowded and making it a wonderful spot to spend some leisure time. At the entrance of the park you can see a sparkling stream where children can scroll around safely. Move upwards. The cement made footpath track will lead you further up. It will take you to the first 4 levels of the waterfall. Level 2 is about 102m high whereas level 3 is 120m. These are the most famous spots of this region where visitors can take pleasure in a natural power shower under the tumbling water. One can just swim and flounder in the clear fresh pools. There are also some picnic gazebos around the place, where changing rooms and toilets are also available. Maximum tourists do not take a risk of going beyond level 4 140m where the concrete steps get finished and the track turns out to be somewhat more difficult. If you are strong and adventurous enough, then with a little effort you can reach to the highest waterfall level 7, which is 208m high. It will take hardly one hour from the starting point. One wont be hopeless here, as levels 6 and 7 contain more spectacular falls. There are a good number of monkeys available around the park. Some of which are obviously naughty. Others are good. On the way back to the car you can pass some of them in a park one. Malaysian Tourism has worked a lot to promote this wonderful park. Visitors from the Middle Eastern countries surely enjoy the greenery and dazzling dance of water of this fall.
