Johor Old Chinese Temple

Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple known as Old Temple by local people, is a Chinese sanctuary found in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Situated at Jalan Trus, the sanctuary is flanked by current high rises. This sanctuary is one of the most established structures in Johor Bahru.

The sanctuary is a destination of prayers and worship and an image of solidarity among Five Chinese Dialect Groups which are Teochew, Hoklo , Cantonese, Hakka and Hainan. In spite of the fact that there are no genuine records with respect to the consummation of the sanctuary, the plaque and the exceptionally old bronze ringer situated in the sanctuary demonstrates that the sanctuary is around 130 years of age.

Every year in the primary lunar month of 20-23rd, the Temple sorts out its annual Chingay known as the Parade of Deities .
