About Ranomafana National Park
If you think lemurs are cute, and are good to look at from close quarters, Ranomafana National Park is a must visit for you. Covering an area of 41,600 hectares of thick forest, the park was thrown open to public in the year 1991. There are almost 12 species of lemur that can be seen here. You can opt either to take a safari to popular spots in the park or you can hike along the routes exploring the interiors of the park. If you opt for the latter one, it is advised that you are guided by a local guide who knows the region well.
