Place Guillaume II

Place Guillaume II is a town square situated in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The square misleads the west of Krautmaart and toward the north of Bouled Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the core of Luxembourg's memorable Ville Haute quarter. It is casually known as Knuedler, from the Luxembourgish dialect's pledge for 'tie', alluding to the bunch in the belt worn by Franciscan ministers.

The western portion of the square is ruled by Luxembourg City Hall in the southwest, while the equestrian statue to previous Grand Duke William II, after whom the square is named, is the unmistakable component of the eastern half. Much of the square is ringed with trees, narrowing the open zone especially around the statue.
