About Vytautas the Great War Museum
The Vytautas the Great War Museum is a gallery in Kaunas, Lithuania. Initially it was set up in 1921 yet later it was chosen to move to a bigger area. A piece of the new exhibition hall was opened in 1930, at the 500th commemoration of Vytautas the Great, Grand Duke of Lithuania, the namesake of the historical center.
Museum shows verifiable antiques relating to Lithuania and Kaunas from ancient circumstances to the present day, including a vast gathering of chronicled weapons. There are works devoted to the military abilities of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Vytautas the Great Chapel, accumulations of weapons, guns, ammo, armed force outfits of different states, barrier of the Kaunas Fortress in 1915, and others.
The historical center offers its working with the M. K. Ciurlionis National Art Museum and is situated in Vienybe Square. The historical center and its surroundings are delineated on the 20 litas banknote. Historical center's garden has in excess of ten statues of Lithuanian military boss and social characters that impacted Lithuania in nineteenth and twentieth century.
