About Klaipeda Castle
Klaipeda Castle, otherwise called Memelburg or Memel Castle, is an archeological site and exhibition hall housed in a mansion worked by the Teutonic Knights in Klaipeda, Lithuania, close to the Baltic Sea. The Teutons called the palace Memelburg or Memel, and Klaipeda was for the most part known as Memel until 1923, when Lithuanian military powers assumed control over the city.
