About Sursock Museum
Sursock Museum, which is formally known as Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock Museum, is a cutting-edge workmanship and contemporary craftsmanship historical center in Beirut, Lebanon. The rich and conspicuous Beirut privileged person Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock manufactured the private estate that now houses the historical center in 1912. He proclaimed in his will that the estate be changed into a gallery and when he kicked the bucket in 1952 he handed down the manor to the city of Beirut.
The historical center opened its entryways in 1961 coordinated by Ibrahim M. Beyhum with a show of works of contemporary Lebanese specialists, setting a point of reference for social occasions in Beirut. The Sursock Museum building represents Lebanese engineering with its Italianate, particularly Venetian, and Ottoman design influences.
