About Bishkek
Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and has a population of around one million individuals. Bishkek is situated in the Chuy Valley, at the northern edge of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too Range, at around 800 m 2,625 feet above ocean level. The main mention of Bishkek was the fortress of Pishpek, built in 1825 by the Khanate of Kokand. Pishpek was worked to ensure caravan routes carrying goods between Tashkent and Lake Issyk-Kul, over the Chuy Valley.
After a fight between Russian magnificent troops and the Khanate of Kokand in 1860, the fort was destroyed and the zone turned into the edge of the Russian Empire. In 1897, the number of inhabitants in Pishpek was an aggregate of 6,600 individuals, and as opposed to being a city, was more similar to a dusty town of mud houses.
