About Lamu
Lamu or Lamu Town is a small metropolis on Lamu Island, which in flip is part of the Lamu Archipelago in Kenya. Situated 341 kilometres through street northeast of Mombasa that ends at Mokowe Jetty, from wherein the ocean channel must be crossed to attain Lamu Island. It is the headquarters of Lamu County and a UNESCO World Heritage web page. The metropolis carries the Lamu Fort at the seafront, creation beneath Fumo Madi ibn Abi Bakr, the sultan of Pate, and become completed after his demise in the early 1820s.
