Yokosuka is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture , Japan. As of October 2017, the city has a populace of 409,478, and a populace thickness of 4,066 individuals for each km2. The absolute territory is 100.7 km2. Yokosuka is the 11th most crowded city in the Greater Tokyo Area, and the 12th in the Kanto locale. Yokosuka involves the vast majority of Miura Peninsula, and is circumscribed by the mouth of Tokyo Bay toward the east and Sagami Bay on the Pacific Ocean on the west.
Sarushima is a uninhabited island in the Tokyo Bay, available by ship from Yokosuka. The Mikasa, lead of Admiral Togo at the Battle of Tsushima, worked in Britain by Vickers, is saved on dry land at Yokosuka. It is a gallery, complete with performing artists dressed like individuals from the first group, and can be visited for an extra charge of 600 yen. The Yokosuka Arts Theater, some portion of the Bay Square complex by Kenzo Tange, is a scene for musical drama, instrumental shows, ambiance music, and films.
A historical center in memory of shake performer Hide, a local of Yokosuka, opened on July 20, 2000. It has been accounted for that Japan's previous head administrator, Junichiro Koizumi, was persuasive in getting it worked as he was a major devotee of Hide's band X Japan. Yokosuka is viewed as a position of starting point of sukajan coats. These weaved glossy silk planes are a prominent keepsake from the city, particularly the more costly, high quality ones.
