About Yawatahama
Yawatahama is a metropolis placed inside the southwestern a part of Ehime Prefecture, Japan, and has the biggest fish market on Shikoku. The Mikan is the featured agricultural product. It is said that name Yawatahama comes from long ago when particles from a pageant at the principle Hachiman shrine in USA, Oita, floated up on the beach in Yawatahama. In 1889, in the course of the Meiji Period the Yawatahama have become a town beneath the new municipal machine. Around that time, Yawatahama was known as the Manchester of Shikoku due to swiftly increasing industry. As an industrial center for Ehime, the primary bank in Ehime turned into opened in Yawatahama in 1878. In addition, in 1889, Yawatahama was the first city in Shikoku to burn an electric light.
