About Tsuruga Red Brick Warehouse
Tsuruga Red Brick Warehouse is a pair of warehouse homes placed in the Port of Tsuruga within the city of Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. The homes are preserved as a historical monument, and were renovated to be used as a eating place corridor within the south-wing and diorama exhibition within the north wing. The diorama depicts Tsuruga in the course of the Showa technology by the use of a version railroad. In one hundred ten years after construction, the warehouse became renovated and opened in October 2015 as a tourist appeal.
Today the South wing is a restaurant hall, the North wing is a Diorama corridor, and the south facet is an open lawn. In Diorama corridor, the heyday of Tsuruga from the past due Meiji length to the early Showa period is reproduced by using the usage of a HO scale version railroad. Restaurant wing is freed from charge. Open at 9:30, closes at 22:00. Admission charge incurs in Diorama wing. In 1905, the warehouses were built with the aid of Standard Oil of New York for the storage of petroleum. Between the center of the Meiji era to the early Showa technology, Tsuruga flourished as a main seaport.
