About Tsu Castle
Tsu Castle changed into a Japanese citadel located in Tsu, Mie Prefecture, Japan. During the Edo duration, Tsu Castle was domestic to the Sudo extended family, daimyo of Tsu Domain, who ruled the provinces of Ise and Iga. The castle became also called "Anotsu-jo after the historic call for Tsu. The castle ruins are a Prefectural Historic Site. During the Sengoku length, in 1558 Hosono Fujiatsu built a fortress on the conjunction of the Ano and Iwata rivers, the usage of the rivers as natural moats.
Oda Nobunaga took manipulate of the castle in 1568 and ordered his younger brother Oda Nobukane to are living there in 1577 to consolidate Oda control over the Ise region. Under Oda Nobukane, the fortress changed into greatly increased in size, with the final touch of the number one, secondary and 0.33 baileys, a 5-story donjon and secondary donjon. Under Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Nobukane became transferred to Tanba Province, and the castle changed into given to Hideyoshi’s retainer, Tomita Nobuhiro in 1595 together with a 50,000 koku domain.
